COLOUR THEORY: PART 2 

Dates: Saturday 18th of January 2020 
 
Time: 10:30am to 4:30pm

About: This is the second part of the course we will go through step by step the terms of the colour wheel, tone, temperature, value, saturation. These are just words but important to understand for the benefit with application. Both courses are very beneficial and great to have even before you paint with any medium. Suitable for every level of student and you will go home with great clarity and great notes to help you as an artist. 
 
Light lunch and refreshments, tea, coffee and biscuits included.

CONTEMPORARY IRISH LANDSCAPE INSPIRED BY DIRECT OBSERVATION 

Dates: Saturday 1st of February 2020 
 
Time: 10:30am to 5:00pm 
 
Cost: €80.00 
 
About: This is a on day workshop suitable for all levels. I will simplify and you will produce an amazing painting, discuss colour mixing, tools, materials and techniques. You will advance your palette knife skills and knowledge of colour mixing which is essential to your painting in a fun relaxing class and go home with a finished painting. 
 
Light lunch and refreshments, tea, coffee and biscuits included.

About: This course you will understand how important it is to know the basic colour wheel and colour theory. Knowledge of the colour wheel and the theory will help you on so many levels which will help you when it comes to painting and mixing colours. However we will only cover the surface and the course is designed to give you the basic understanding to allow you to go on to the next level which is the colour terms which is a great benefit as a painter to be able to solve you problems why ???

'Contemporary Seascape in oils' 

Dates: Saturday 18th May 2019 
 
Time: 11.00am to 1.00pm 
 
Cost: €80.00 
 
About: Create an energetic seascape in oils, amazing colours whilst learning lots of techniques. You will be creating a beautiful painting all finished in one day. This workshop is a great day for colour and learning in a loose impressionist style. 
 
Suitable for students all levels. ALL workshops include a light lunch and light refreshments tea and Coffee. 

'Dusk over O'Connell Bridge, Dublin' 

Dates: Saturday 4th May 2019 
 
Cost: €80.00 
 
About: A great opportunity to see how to use a palette knife. Brushes are not included😃. 
A workshop learning how to use a knife, learn about the importance of colour, strokes and go home with a finished painting in one day. The palette knife is a great blunt instrument and you will be introduce to a great technique impasto with oils. 
 
ALL workshops include a light lunch and light refreshments tea and Coffee. 

'A walk through Trinity College Dublin' 

Dates: Saturday the 16th of March 2019 
 
Cost: €80.00 
 
About: Palette knife or painting knife' workshop 
Tea ,coffee and light refreshments. 
An opportunity to paint with a palette knife achieving great effects learning a lot about colour and producing a finished painting in one day. By the end of the day you will get great confidence and have good fun . 

'Venice Night Time Scene' Workshop 

Dates: Saturday 2nd February 2019 
 
Cost: €80.00 
 
About: Venice night time scene. Silhouette boats, a moody painting with confident bold strokes. An exciting day learning lots of techniques with plenty of tips to encourage and enable you to try painting at home. Suitable for total beginners to advanced students. 
 
Limited to 10 places only to ensure plenty of one on one tuition. 

'How To Paint Like An Impressionist' Workshop 

Dates: Friday 8th February 2019 
 
Cost: €80.00 
 
About: Learn the technique used by the impressionist painter, Monet, creating mood and atmosphere in oils.  
 
Suitable for all levels from total beginners to advanced students. 
 
Limited to 10 places only to ensure plenty of one on one tuition. 

'Dublin Street'  Workshop 

Dates: Saturday 2nd March 2019 
 
Cost: €80.00 
 
About: Dublin Street, inspired by Frederick Osbourne and his use of colour in a modern take of Dublin city using a palette knife to produce a finished painting. 
 
Limited to 10 places only to ensure plenty of one on one tuition. 
 
 

'Harbour Lights' Palette Knife Painting Workshop 

Held: Saturday 19th January 2019 
 
About: Harbour Lights, moored boats and morning lights. Impressionistic oil painting using a palette knife and producing a finished painting in one day. A fun day with lots of tips and tricks.

Tips 'n'Tricks Workshop  

 
Here are some great pieces created by students from our Tip's 'n' Tricks Workshop held on Friday 11th January.  
 
All the students had a great time and went home with a finished piece of art as well as learning some very useful tips 'n' tricks for the future. 
All the workshops have limited places so ensure to book early. To confirm your place an any of our courses a 50% deposit is required.
