Where to begin?
What an incredible trip, it was an absolute pleasure to bring my students to Greece for this year’s Art Holiday to soak up the amazing scenery including some of the world’s greatest ancient temples and amphitheatres at times it was truly over whelming.

We flew into Athens airport where we were greeted by Dusan our guide, driver and a fountain of knowledge on all things Greek. We headed off to Tolon about a two hour drive to the coast south of Athens to the Hotel Christine where we would be based for the next five days.
On the way down we stopped off to see the Corinth Canal, a breath-taking feat of engineering completed in 1893 (it was initially planned in 1st Century AD, but what’s the rush). It is 4 miles long and only 70ft wide at the base, and as it turns out not a very practical route for large shipping but it does look incredible.

The Hotel was in a fantastic location with beautiful sea views. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed their hospitality throughout our stay. That evening we had dinner in nearby Nafplio.

So what did we get up to?
