Piano For Breast Cancer Awareness - The Auction Is Now Live

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Thornton Pianos kindly donated this beautiful reconditioned Challen Upright piano to be auctioned off with all the funds going to raise funds for the Marie Keating Foundation to support their life saving work promoting cancer awareness and early detection.
Challen was the Beatles favourite choice of piano and this inspired the students of the Catherine Lawler School of Art to come up with this brilliant design.
Catherine Lawlor School of Art would like to thank her students, Una Lynch, Lavinia O Leary, Polly McGettigan and Phil Anderson, for their amazing work on the Piano. Together they planned, sketched researched logos and iconic symbols, relevant to the Beatles and, ultimately, came up with the final design to paint onto the 1980 Challen Upright Piano- the choice brand of the Beatles.
Over several days, the artists worked together to produce this design and Thornton Pianos were very pleased with the result. This Piano will be auctioned in aid of Marie Keating Foundation and the winning bid will be announced on November 12th next.
